Handwritten and signed letter, dated 8 Feb. 1862, and addressed to George Hugh Wyndham. Gordon writes about his twenty-one day journey from Kalgan to various places in the Shansi Province of China. He refers to the fears the people have relating to the Taiping Rebellion.
